Bob Jones Nature Center
Spending the afternoon with Jack and Jill helping to beautify the grounds at The Bob Jones Nature Center. Fun times with friends, and lots of learning about snakes, composting, bees, and butterflies.

Hope Farm
This community service project was so much fun!! In addition to our Jack and Jill Chapter raising $10,000 for our chosen charity, HOPE FARM, Inc., via our biennial Golf Swing fundraising event, we rolled up our sleeves and thoughtfully interacted with the people.
We had the pleasure of collecting donations, spring cleaning our own closets, and compiled a great stack of excellent merchandise to take to Hope Farm to set up a boutique shopping experience for the mothers and sisters associated with Hope Farm.
Haley was the quintessential leader!! She helped organize the merchandise, staffed the check-in table, took "reservations" and kept track to "held items." It was fantastic to see her peers relying on her, looking to her for direction!!
Hana was an essential part of this operation as she organized the shoes, helped the women find their shoe sizes, grabbed chairs for them to sit down as they tried on shoes, and bent over to help them pick things up off the floor.
The men were the muscle. Ian helped to transport clothing for the ladies, helped move things around, and ran around helping to gather items.

Service - The Community Storehouse

Ian spends time at The Community Storehouse collecting donations, organizing goods, and learning about the process of charity in our city. Writing encouraging notes to peers who may find a smile in a letter motivates the children to spread good will.

Artemis Conference
The Artemis Medical Society is an organization that I founded to support and nurture female physicians (particularly those of color). This weekend past was our inaugural conference/mini-retreat. And as nervous as I was, I am proud to report was a huge success. :)

Haley's awesome speech made us laugh, and cry....
Artemis kids: because sometimes you just gotta bring 'em with you!! This became an excellent opportunity for them to learn how to "network" and properly dine.

Donations
This afternoon Hana's Jack and Jill age-group event was meeting at the local library and assembling "care packs" for recipients at the Soup Mobile Homeless Shelter. They spent time being gracious and thankful for for their blessings while sharing some of their abundance with those who may find it useful right now.
