Water Polo Tournament

His first US Water Polo sanctioned tournament with the combined team!!

The team is for 12 years old and under. Being only 9 years old, he spent some time on the bench, learning. Since the entire team is quite young compared to the competition (and everyone gets to play some) they didn't win any games. BUT they had a great time and learned a TON!!

The Mad Scientist Convention

Hana was a wonderful host as she stood before her peers and gave the Welcoming Introduction to the Mad Scientist Convention!!

Dr. Magma demonstrated the "magic" of a black light on seemingly smooth, clean hands. "What's THAT?! Is that a spot? Where'd that come from? You MUST be a genius or someone special!!"

Dr. Magma lights paper on fire...in MID-AIR!!! WOW!!!

Topping that magical science show is difficult, but making your OWN real, live slime from various chemicals is totally EPIC!!

School projects: Thor and Oprah

The younger kids had school projects this week. Ian had to pick someone from Midevil times that was discussed in The Story of the World History textbook from this semester. Hana had to choose a prominent/influential American trail-blazer that made a difference in the world.

Ian chose THOR.

Water Polo Game

Ian participates in his first water polo game!! He played HALF the game. He touched the ball with 2 hands twice, resulting in a "turn-over." But the team WON both games nonetheless!! Congratulations on a big water weekend for Ian!!
